This is book 4 in the Cowboys & Brides series. This can be read as a standalone. Outstanding book! You can picture yourself on the ranch. The characters are so real... my favorites are the twins, I got such a kick out of them! Annie Rose was participating in a fundraising bridal show when she had needed to leave town fast. An abusive ex that she'd been hiding from had been in the crowd. On her way to switch to a car she had waiting for her, she thought she was being followed. She took a different exit than she had planned and ended up hitting a tree, that was next to a pond, which her car sank in. So it's no wonder that the Harper twins find her sleeping on their porch swing. Thrilled that their daddy had married and brought them home a new mama for their birthday, Annie Rose was after all still wearing the wedding dress, albeit dirty & tattered. Mason had just lost another nanny due to his trouble making twins, so Annie Rose appearing seems like fate. Annie Rose agrees to be the girls MamaNanny temporarily. Lily & Gabby love her and worry about her leaving them. Mason starts feeling things he hasn't felt in the eight years since his wife had passed away, which makes him feel guilty. Annie Rose loves being on the ranch and caring for the twins, and Mason, like her own. She worries about how quickly she developed feelings for Mason, but as Nash (the wise old ranch foreman) says "time ain't nothing but a clock makin' it's rounds around and around".

Highly recommended! Down home romance at it's best!
